Could not load type error

Apr 17, 2009 at 4:11 AM
Hello,

I have just finished installing the web part and updating the web config. However, once the web part is added to the page it loads fine until one response is made then the following error is displayed:

Could not load type 'System.DateTimeOffset' from assembly 'mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'.

Perhaps I have missed something in the web config somewhere.

Cheers, Ian

Hi,

I had installed the previous version 1.2 and it worked well for me.

When I deployed the latest version 2.0 (stable), I got the exact error that eezz has, which is

Could not load type 'System.DateTimeOffset' from assembly 'mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'.

Would you please advise.

Thank you!

I'm not sure why you'd be getting this error. Do you have .NET 3.5 installed on the web front end(s)? That's a microsoft DLL that it's looking for.

Check in c:\windows\assembly to see if you see that dll. If not, try installing 3.5.
